Access from Anywhere by Connecting to The Internet of Things

WHAT IS THE INTERNET OF THINGS?

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents all devices, scanners, sensors, and machines that are connected to the internet. Each of these can exchange data via network connectivity, allowing information about a device’s surroundings to be communicated in up to real-time. The technology has a strong presence in the consumer electronics industry and has begun to see increased utilization in global supply chains. Apptricity utilizes the power of IoT to provide visibility into the location and condition of important assets and inventory. This is accomplished with an end-to-end system featuring:

Asset & Inventory Management

Sensor data that is collected and relayed from the scanner will update asset and inventory records in real-time. This allows you to make data-driven decisions for your enterprise.

TYPES OF IoT TECHNOLOGY

Apptricity provides each of the necessary components for an IoT-connected supply chain

Apptricity I-Connect Controllers

Apptricity’s edge devices are deployed with RFID and/or Bluetooth® antennas to scan nearby tags and update their location in the Asset Management solution. These fixed readers can be set up in warehouses, tool trailers, or any other enclosed areas, including vehicles.

GPS Asset Tags

These tags connect to the internet via cellular or satellite and communicate GPS coordinates in up to real-time. Perfect for tracking items such as yellow iron, power generators, fleet vehicles, airplanes, train shipments, or any other vehicle or asset type that is on-the-go.

Bluetooth® Beacons

These tags are read via Bluetooth® and offer better tracking capabilities than RFID due to their ability to beacon their data. With various sensor capabilities, these tags can provide information such as temperature, GPS coordinates, light sensitivity, etc.

RFID Tags

These tags are the size of a barcode and are perfect for tracking consumable inventory items. When scanned by an I-Connect Controller, real-time inventory quantity updates are made based on the number of scans processed.
